Payment term

• After you agree with my service contents and conditions, an invoice is issued and sent to you via e-mail.
• You are required to pay a 50% deposit of my guiding fee to confirm your booking via PayPal by USD(Credit card). The remaining 50% of my guiding fee must be paid in the same process by the tour date.
• When booking, you may request additional reservations for restaurants, transportation, and tickets, which are charged to the deposit.
• A booking is confirmed once I have received a deposit. I’ll send you a confirmation e-mail.

Cancellation Policy

Any cancellation by you must be initiated by email to

or by SMS, SNS. I will send you a cancel confirmation email as soon as possible.

If you wish to cancel your tour, the following policy will apply. Flexible Tour(Shido. Inc.) will refund the remaining amount within 7 days from the date of the cancellation after deducting the appropriate fee from the tour price paid by you. The timing of the refund may change depending on your credit card company’s rules. The cancelation fee shall be deemed as “the planning fee” described in Article 16 of the Standard General Conditions of Travel Agency Business Order-Taking Type Organized Tour Contract Part under Japanese Law.

【Standard Cancellation Policy】

• If you cancel due to any reason such as illness and change of personal circumstances, the date on which the request to cancel is received by me will determine the refund due as follows:
  • At least 8 days before the scheduled departure, the deposit is fully refunded, excluding a 5% transaction fee to a limit of $1000 USD.
    • For example, if your tour is scheduled for Friday, April 10th, the cancellation deadline is 24:00 midnight on Thursday, April 2nd.
  • Within 7 days before the scheduled departure, the 50% deposit is NOT refunded.
• If you wish, I will hold the deposit open for use against a future booking within 6 months of the original arrival date. If the guiding cost of the alternative tour differs, you will be refunded or paid for the difference, as applicable.
• Any non-recoverable out-of-pocket costs I have incurred on your behalf are NOT refundable.
  • (If any fares are refundable, I will refund you after deducting the cancellation and transaction fees.)
• If I cancel a tour due to weather or other circumstances, you may choose between rescheduling the tour or receiving a full refund of all monies paid.

【Force Majeure cancellation policy】

• Force majeure includes impersonal events such as war, civil insurrection, strikes, volcanoes, extreme weather, pandemics, earthquakes, or natural disasters that make it dangerous or impossible to undertake the tour safely. If you are on a ship and it cannot dock for whatever reason, you are covered under this ‘Force Majeure’ provision.

What constitutes “Force Majeure” is at the discretion of me.

• If you cancel or cannot take your tour as a consequence of force majeure,
  • At least 8 days in advance of the scheduled departure, the deposit is fully refund excluding a 5% transaction fee to a limit $1000 USD.
  • Within 7 days in advance of the scheduled departure, the 50% deposit is NOT refunded.
• If you wish, I will hold the deposit open for use against a future booking to be taken within 12 months of the original arrival date. If there is any difference in the guiding cost of the alternative tour will be refunded or paid by you as applicable.
• Any non-recoverable out-of-pocket costs I have incurred on your behalf are NOT refundable.
  • (If there are any fares refundable, I will refund you after deducting cancellation fee and transaction fee.)

Travel Insurance

Buying travel insurance is strongly recommended before visiting Japan since I can’t be responsible for any damages during your tour which occurred beyond my control. Some international airports sell travel insurance there.

There are two recommended travel insurance companies when you visit Japan.
